WTB Benchmade 42

Postby polojeff on Mon Feb 08, 2010 3:34 pm

Hey all,

I'm sure this comes up all of the time, But I'm currently in the market for a BM42. While I was in time to buy one from the last website that had them, they would not ship to California. So here I am, looking for someone who wants to part with their BM42.

Thanks,
Jeff

Unfortunately, my skill level is not up to snuff with some of you guys. I'm putting the work in though, you should see me next year.

Hey Jeff,

Just wanted to let you know there is a guy on craigslist San Francisco selling a BM 42 for $200 if you're interested. It's sad that so many people are selling 42's and really over pricing them.

Good luck,

-Jason

There is also a BM42s, which is the half serrated model for $200 on baliforums, though I have a feeling he might go even a little lower.

I had been watching Bladeforums like a hawk for one. Got one this week, but it took 2 weeks before I struck a deal before someone else beat me to the punch.

I can't understand how placing a new knife that has been discontinued $80 under MSRP is over priced.. Baffles me

Enjoy Jeff :TU: :pirate_sail:

I think $200 is a good price... I'm talking about the people that are selling them for $270 and up!

I've heard a lot about this guy who buys and then sells for outrageous prices right away. What's his name on forums?

I'm considering selling a BM42 (ti, no ano, springlatch, no zen pins). It's been heavily flipped so it has "life marks" though it remains in general good shape. I have the sheath, papers and original box.

What would be a fair price according to you ?

Should I wait a bit till it gets rarer ?
