New and in need of a little help!

Hello all,

My name is Nick and I am currently a college student looking to get into balisong flipping. However, I need some help in finding a knife. My "Big Bro" in my fraternity has a Benchmade 50-something morpho and another one of my friends has a Bear and Son 114d. I've been using both of their knives to begin some practicing but I'd really like to buy my own now. I'm looking to spend up to $125-150 but the less I spend the better. So here's the list of knives I'm looking at purchasing and if you can give me some advice on choosing, a review, or any help at all it would be much appreciated (I'm looking for which one is the "best" flipper).

List of the ones I'm looking at:
Bear and Son - 114ad, Bear Ops 200
Bradley - Kimura 7

I apologize if there are any misspellings or if the models are wrong. Go easy on me!

JohnneyBmore usually has a great deal on the Kimura series. I think he is out of stock right now, but send him a message and see what he has... :welcome1: Welcome to our addiction!

If you're just starting then definitely a Kimura. As far as which Kimura, it doesn't matter, just go with what you like the looks of better. I have a K6.

I got the kimura 9 or 5 or whatever. Coming from a spyderfly, oh man it's nice. I'm curious to how the bear ops ones flip. Does anyone have those bear ops balis? They are also on bladehq, for like 80bucks or so

*FOR DUCK* I'm also from Chicago, and as you may know balisongs are illegal to carry here. I get the same message when I order. I have owned a b200, b400 and b201 trainer. They flip well, I was particularly was fond of the b400

two problems with the bears ops though, #1 I found the hardware to be kind of bad so the screws frequently unscrew themselves. be prepared to combat that, get yourself some blue loctite.

as for flipping wise, the tang is extended and so while flipping a lot of the time your fingers get pinched between the tang and the handles. way more painful than a cut lol
