Jacob's Ladder/Tri-fold knife

Anyone ever manipulated one of these? They're pretty neat, really fast action.

Re: Jacob's Ladder/Tri-fold knife

i could totally see this folding on you..
i wouldn't trust it as far as id throw it, its more dangerous to yourself then an approaching enemy 'if that is to be the case'

why doesn't ColdSteel have the balls to just make a real Balisong..
instead of making bull knives like the Paradox..

if they ever did make a Bali i imagine it would be a pretty decent knife..

Re: Jacob's Ladder/Tri-fold knife

i have a couple of these tri fold knives, including the Cold Steel version, which DOES suck balls. the handles are aluminum. not hardened aluminum, but soft, shitty aluminum. the serrations Cold Steel patented are the worst in the industry. the little teeth break off easily, and there's no practical way to resharpen them.

a couple of other companies make or made them, including Case and Kabar. Fred Perrin makes one, also, and it's of pretty good quality, and all steel. i ordered one last week, and should be getting it soon. someone gave me a copy of it, from Taiwan, and it's about 100 times better than Cold Steel's version, which made me order an original. they're not much good for tricks, but it's a neat design, reminiscent of a balisong, in that the handle is the sheath, and that your own hand provides the lock.
