I can get a Benchmade 51 for $178 shipped. I have never owned a balisong before and compared to other websites this seems cheap for a new BM51.

Edit: I've decided I am going to get a different knife instead, the knife is on autoknifeworks.com and with an online discount code they have it's about $168 plus shipping.

Its an okay deal.. not great, not terrible. The 51 is honestly pretty overpriced. The Kimuras are definitely better values.

Would the Kimura VII be a completely better knife for flipping than the 51?

In my opinion, yes. I've handled four knives so far: The Kimura II, The Spyderco Spyderfly, The Spyderco Szabofly, and The Benchmade 51. Even though I traded it for a Spyderfly, the Kimura is my all time favorite of the four.

Ok thanks I guess I'll try to find a cheap Kimura VII then. I think they go for <$90 and I just looked online and people are calling them about equal with the 51. That and I hear that Kimuras are scary sharp, which is what I want with knives. Thanks.
