Bradley kimura V....erm III review

A friend of mine bought a kimura III, but had some trouble with it, so he handed it to me to be tinkered with, I.did the basic lubing, oiling, and locktite treatment. :D after flipping it around for a but afterwards Ive gathered a few opinions, first of all its a sturdy, bulky thing, well made though. However it is abit too heavy for me, and the handles are too wide for my liking, while it is a nicr cheap balisong, I cant see myself picking up one.
All in all a good balisong, just not my particular pereferance. Just my 2 cents
Heres some eye candy for listening to me blab

The Kimura isn't that much wider than a 51. They are about the same width at the base of the handle, but the 51 is tapered towards the tang, so it's maybe 2mm narrower at the tang. The edges of the 51 has an acute bevel as well, so it the handles may seem a lot narrower but I don't think it is.

Place your 51 on top of your Kimura and you can see what I'm talking about.

Im comparing it to my 51, and no its not just the wideness of the handles, its the square shape that makes it feel so alien to me. And excuse me it is a III not a V. The point I was trying to get across was I simpy didnt like the profile of the knife. And fun little exra, I just put a spring latch on it :D

Re: Bradley kimura V....erm III review

Even if it isnt actually wider, It seems that way. After handling the 51 for so long, thats the first thing I could really think about. Even now as I've played with it all day, it just seems so much wider.

I think I know what you're talking about, probably cause of the ergo cuts in the 51's handles right?

Re: Bradley kimura V....erm III review

I can easily imagine that being the case, I hardly even notice the 51 cut outs when flipping but I can definatly see how there would be a slight difference (noticable though) on a squared off handle
